Parents Reviews

We recently moved to Phoenix and were very fortunate to find this gem of a school at a public education price. Excellent teachers and staff, great kids, awesome PTO, welcoming environment.

Hands down, the best free education you can give to your child. My husband and I are so pleased and amazed with how intelligent our children are. How many parents can say their children are tri-lingual at age 6?! If you want to give your child an edge in the global economy, this is the place they will receive their building blocks.

I can’t say enough good things about ALP. My daughter has been here since kinder and she can read, write, and speak comfortably in all 3 languages. It’s truly amazing how much she has learned in just 2 years. We could not be happier with her teachers and their dedication to the students.
Kristin Cervantes

ALP has been a great immersion school for my child. The small class sizes give my child great attention and focused instruction. The teachers are knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. The staff is attentive to the needs of the school. I would recommend ALP without hesitation.
Ivan Barreda

Our daughter is a 2nd grader and has been at this school since kindergarten. We love the small class sizes, staff who actually care about the kids, and the fact it’s trilingual! They offer after school kids club and homework club. The kiddo loves it so much she usually asks if she can stay longer when we pick her up. Highly recommend checking out this school if you’re looking for a diverse learning environment!

This school is amazing. My daughters are in 3rd grade and Kindergarten. They are thriving in the small class sizes and the teachers really care about the students. Both kids enjoy waking up to go to school. Thank you ALP!

Love love love the school! My daughter is learning all the curriculum in 3 languages. She is confident and happy here! We love the staff, students and teachers! The teacher to student ratio is amazing and the class sizes are small with one on one attention! The teachers and staff truly enjoy the kiddos and it shows! So glad this program/ school is available for my kid to excel!!!

Frequently Asked Question

Most commonly asked questions from our families

What is a charter school?
Charter schools are schools that are publicly funded but independently run. This unique operation model gives charter schools more control over things like curriculum, staffing, and budgeting compared to traditional public schools. Charter schools are held accountable by authorized public chartering agencies and are required to follow state academic standards.
Is ALP tuition free?
ALP is public and tuition-free, so no tuition may be charged for grades 1-6 or half-day Kindergarten.
What’s the difference between half-day kindergarten and full-day kindergarten?

Half-day: No Charge
The state of Arizona covers funding for free half-day kindergarten. Students who participate in our half-day program will be at school for lunch. Students must be picked up no later than 1:00.

Full-day Kindergarten: $425/month (SY25-26)
The state of Arizona covers the funding for a half-day kindergarten at this rate, so we have adopted this rate to extend the school day and allow us to cover our staffing and operations costs. Given our trilingual immersion model, it is critical for our students to attend a full-day program to have more time to spend in all three languages.

What are the school hours?
Our school hours are from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Morning drop off is from 7:45 to 8:00, and dismissal is from 3:00 to 3:15.
What is the age requirement for kindergarten?
In Arizona, your child must be 5 years old before September 1 of the year in which they wish to start kindergarten. If your child does not meet the standard age cutoff but will be turning 5 years old before December 31, you may apply for early kindergarten admission.
Is there a dress code?

Yes, our dress code ensures an atmosphere conducive to student learning and free from unnecessary distractions. Our Dress Code Policy can be found in our Family Handbooks, or you can visit our Dress Code & Uniform Policy page for more information.
